Services Provided
The initial appointment is an assessment of the client’s health history and personal health goals. I will then make dietary recommendations and collaborate with the client on menu planning and lifestyle goals.
Follow-up appointments are all about keeping the client motivated and evaluating progress and making adjustments as needed. Accountability is an important part of establishing long term lifestyle habits.
Benefits of Nutritional Counseling
Nutritional counseling is beneficial for managing chronic or acute disease(s), weight management, or because you have the desire to overhaul your diet and lead a healthier lifestyle.
Information and advertisements about specialized and fad diets are so prevalent that it can be overwhelming and difficult to utilize. Most plans are not personalized to an individual’s specific concerns. I can help you make sense of nutrition and it's relation to health and disease.
My Nutritional Philosophy
I strive to create a partnership with my clients and work together to achieve results. Motivation and accountability are powerful aspects of this partnership and can help with long term goals. The most difficult part of a healthy diet can be sticking to it! The overall goal is to have you take ownership over your diet and health to build better habits that will lead to long term success. I help give you information and the tools for these changes.
Accountability is the name of the game! I will help you personalize a diet to fit your needs and help you stick with it. Accountability is extremely helpful in bringing about behavioral changes. With each follow up appointment, we will discuss any challenges until you feel in control of your new habits.
The largest factor in success is to make tangible and realistic steps towards a better diet. Massive changes all at once are difficult to maintain and can often create anxiety and lead to disappointment. My goal is to not only make this process as stress-free as possible, but to help manage existing stress as an important component of a healthy lifestyle.
